Job Summary

The Junior HR Business Partner will partner closely with business leaders and line managers to drive business priorities in their respective area. The role involves building leadership capabilities to deliver the people plan and driving the talent agenda.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build trusted relationships with leaders across the business areas and within the HR team.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and act as a sounding board.
  • Develop talent by understanding the vision and strategy for talent, partnering with leaders, and applying influencing skills to drive the talent agenda.
  • Align with Centre's of expertise to provide HR solutions to the business.
  • Drive performance management to increase individual and business performance.
  • Have a solid knowledge of employment law and HR procedures to ensure the business is compliant and safe.
  • Balance priorities and project work with emerging and immediate business needs in line with strategy.
  • Scope complex tasks and project work, and drive execution through to completion.
  • Work with leaders to establish high-performing teams.
  • Be an advocate and role model for Leadership Competencies and Cultural Factors.
  • Manage change to enable continual transformation for an optimal organisation.
Desired Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced retail (or similar) organisation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with exacting timelines and high accuracy.
  • Proven track record of working with multiple stakeholders, requiring an autonomous, decision-making approach.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Take full responsibility and ownership for actions, with a hands-on and can-do attitude.
  • Think broadly and consider all implications of actions across the business function.
  • Use coaching style to challenge partners to think differently and seek new perspectives.

  • Well-developed IT skills, with experience of using an HR Information System.

  • The ability to take initiative and work without supervision is essential.
