An excellent opportunity awaits a seasoned Assistant Director of Human Resources to become a vital part of the HR team at Smyth & Co, a distinguished entity in the hospitality sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Human Resources in providing guidance and support to department leaders across various HR functions, including talent acquisition, performance evaluation, employee relations, compensation, and recognition programs.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of HR & Recruitment Officers and HR Coordinators, ensuring exceptional service delivery to our team members while fostering effective communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and propose initiatives to enhance the employee experience and lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development Manager to facilitate various career advancement and training initiatives.
  • Manage employee relations matters and seek guidance when necessary, ensuring adherence to company policies and best practices.
  • Contribute to the strategic vision of the HR department in alignment with the organization's objectives and values.
  • Actively promote and represent the organization externally, maintaining a robust professional network and staying updated on the latest HR trends and practices.
  • Assist in upholding an exceptional level of service while meeting the required standards at all times.

Qualifications

  • Exhibit a genuine commitment to the organization and its values, striving for excellence in HR service delivery.
  • Possess experience in a similar capacity within the hospitality industry.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of HR functions and proven expertise in applying UK employment legislation.
  • Showcase strong IT and administrative capabilities.
  • Maintain impeccable personal presentation, coupled with a naturally warm and approachable demeanor.
  • Be accustomed to a dynamic work environment and motivated to deliver high-quality results with integrity.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as an HR manager in a luxury hotel setting.

Experience in a fast-paced HR role is preferred, with strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, being essential. Previous experience in a luxury hospitality environment is required.

The compensation package includes a salary of approximately £65k per annum, along with service and bonus opportunities.
