About the Role

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pathway Manager to lead the administrative and clerical service in the Gastroenterology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of administrative staff to ensure a comprehensive service is provided to the Gastroenterology department.
  • Manage and coordinate the patient journey from referral to discharge, ensuring smooth running of the patient RTT and Cancer journey.
  • Support national RTT targets and internal Trust/divisional performance.
  • Collaborate with the Operations/Service Managers team to achieve management requests.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values.
  • Diploma level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • RSA 2 or RSA 3 word processing/typing or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • English and Math at GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Strong working knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office package.
  • Knowledge of Cerner.
Desirable
  • Courses/further study attended to demonstrate evidence of personal development.
  • Previous experience of working with the public and/or patients in a healthcare environment.
  • Previous administrative and organisational experience.
  • Experience of dealing with non-routine and complex problems.
  • Experience of managing staff.
Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer care practice, being polite, sympathetic, patient, and diplomatic.
  • Understanding patient confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of Cerner.
  • Ability to confidently interact and share knowledge with staff at all levels.
