Welsh-Speaking Customer Service Representative

Position Overview:

This role requires proficiency in the Welsh language.

Role Responsibilities:

As a key point of contact, you will engage with customers both in person and via telephone, ensuring that inquiries are accurately identified and addressed effectively at the first point of contact. You will take ownership of customer queries, guiding them through to resolution in alignment with service delivery standards.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling clear and concise interactions with a diverse range of customers and colleagues. You should demonstrate a commitment to teamwork, providing support to peers while respecting their perspectives and concerns.

It is essential to manage customer interactions with sensitivity and professionalism, adeptly handling challenging situations and escalating issues only when necessary.

A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service is crucial.

Key Duties:

  1. Respond to a variety of customer inquiries promptly and courteously, whether in person or over the phone.
  2. Collaborate with council colleagues to share information, enhance service delivery, and expand your knowledge of local services and resources.
  3. Act as an ambassador for Customer Services and Powys County Council, facilitating communication with various stakeholders, including service departments and the public.
  4. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of council services, procedures, and relevant legislation affecting your area of responsibility.
  5. Support the Customer Services Team by working in partnership with colleagues to improve service delivery and increase awareness of available resources.
