Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Band 5 Nurse with substantial experience in acute care to become a vital member of our dynamic Emergency Department team.

The ideal candidate will possess post-registration experience in an acute care environment and demonstrate the resilience necessary to thrive in our fast-paced yet fulfilling department. Strong self-motivation, exceptional communication abilities, and proven clinical and organizational competencies are essential.

Our Emergency Department caters to a large and diverse community, routinely managing a significant number of patients daily, including those with acute medical conditions, pediatric cases, and individuals experiencing mental health crises.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will deliver the highest quality of individualized and holistic patient care, collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams.

Adhere to the NMC Code, along with trust policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure safe and effective practice.

We provide a structured orientation program and ongoing support to our staff. Our commitment to professional development is reflected in our adherence to the RCN national emergency nursing framework competencies. Our experienced Practice Development Nurse and Practice Facilitator, along with the senior nursing team, will assist you in achieving your competencies at level 1, with a clear pathway to advance into our Emergency Department and trauma courses at level 2.

In addition to fostering professional growth, we offer a New Well-being space, outdoor areas including designated gardens, and fitness classes such as a running group. Each department is supported by well-being champions.
