Emergency Department Senior Sister/Charge Nurse

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced nurse leader to join our team as a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in the Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional nursing leadership and management to the Emergency Department team.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and safety.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve high standards of care and service delivery.
- Manage and lead a busy department, ensuring effective resource allocation and utilization.
- Identify and implement opportunities for service improvement and innovation.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, patients, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of nursing practice and standards of care within the department.
- Registered Nurse with a degree or equivalent qualification.
- Recent experience in Emergency Department leadership, preferably at Band 6 level.
- Specialist A&E/ED course or equivalent qualification.
- ALS or equivalent certification.
- Excellent leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of current and emerging NHS strategy and policy.
