About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our dynamic Endoscopy Unit team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading and managing a team of nurses, and contributing to the overall success of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Trust standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with Trust policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with at least 2 years' experience in endoscopy-related practice.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging NHS strategy and policy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on patient safety and well-being.
