Job Title: Neonatal Sister/Charge Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our neonatal unit, you will provide high-quality patient care, lead and manage a team of staff, and contribute to the development of our unit.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-established neonatal unit, providing care to pre-term and vulnerable babies. You will be responsible for coordinating the care of patients, supervising junior staff, and contributing to the development of our unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Lead and manage a team of staff, including junior nurses and students.
  • Contribute to the development of our unit, including quality improvement initiatives and education programs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care for patients and their families.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Relevant clinical experience in a neonatal unit, preferably at Band 5 level.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
