Emergency Department Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Emergency Department Nurse to join our team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As an Emergency Department Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Clinical Function:
- Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
- Participate in the planning, initiation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Support patients and families in times of stress or bereavement.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Management Function:
- Ensure a safe and efficient clinical environment.
- Manage and maintain resources within the clinical area.
- Communicate information on nursing activity and related matters.
- Take responsibility for special projects as discussed with senior nurse.
- Teaching Function:
- Assist with teaching programs for learners and qualified staff within the clinical area.
- Aid professional development of the nursing team.
- Practice role as health educator.
- Professional Development:
- Develop advanced clinical skills and expertise in emergency nursing.
- Remain up-to-date with clinical and professional developments in nursing.
- Participate in the planning and implementing of new ideas.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with current registration with the NMC.
- Basic Life Support skills.
- One year post-qualification experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Acute Life-threatening Events Recognition & Treatment (ALERT) and Immediate Life Support (ILS) certification.
- Mentorship In Practice, e.g. ENB 998, Slice, City & Guilds.
