We are excited to present a fantastic opportunity for part-time Support Workers to join a well-established organization dedicated to assisting individuals with cerebral palsy and complex needs.


In this role, you will support young individuals in a residential environment, helping them to grow and achieve independence while acquiring new skills. This position is incredibly FULFILLING for those who are DEDICATED and enjoy hands-on engagement. Enjoy unique experiences such as outings to the zoo or swimming as part of your work.

  • Salary: £24,960 - £28,860 (Pro Rata)
  • Location: Yate
  • Hours: 16 hours per week + one sleep-in shift per week
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Shift Times: 16 hours + one sleep-in shift per week
  • Interviews: Conducted online

Key Responsibilities of the Support Worker:

  • Encourage young individuals to engage in activities and take charge of their lives according to their age.
  • Maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere within the residential homes.
  • Effectively manage challenging behaviors when necessary.
  • Provide personal care as required.
  • Support residents in promoting their independence and overall well-being.
  • Ensure a safe living environment for all service users.
  • Stay informed about each individual's care plan, guidelines, reward systems, and preferred communication methods.
  • Assist in managing challenging behaviors with compassion and safety.


Requirements:

  • Experience as an Adult Support Worker in a similar environment is preferred.
  • NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Adult Social Care is desirable (or a willingness to pursue this qualification).
  • A genuine passion for supporting individuals in living fulfilling lives.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, as travel between sites may be required.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
