Exciting Opportunity for Part-Time Support Workers
We are thrilled to present a remarkable opportunity for part-time support workers to join a well-established organization dedicated to assisting individuals with cerebral palsy and complex needs.
In this fulfilling role, you will support young individuals within a residential environment, fostering their independence and helping them acquire new skills. This position is incredibly REWARDING for candidates who are PASSIONATE about hands-on work. Enjoy unique experiences such as trips to the zoo or swimming as part of your role.
- Salary: £24,960 - £28,860 (Pro Rata)
- Location: Yate
- Hours: 16 hours per week + one sleep shift weekly
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Shift Times: 16 hours + one sleep shift weekly

Key Responsibilities of the Support Worker Role:
- Encourage young individuals to engage in activities and take charge of their lives based on their age.
- Maintain a warm and friendly atmosphere within the homes.
- Handle challenging behaviors with professionalism when necessary.
- Provide personal care as required.
- Support residents in promoting their independence and overall well-being.
- Ensure a safe environment for all service users.
- Stay informed about each individual's care plan, guidelines, reward systems, and preferred communication methods.
- Support individuals through challenging behaviors in a safe and compassionate manner.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience as an Adult Support Worker in a similar environment is preferred.
- NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Adult Social Care is desirable (or willingness to pursue this qualification).
- A genuine passion for empowering individuals to live fulfilling lives.
- Must possess a valid driver's license, as travel between sites may be required.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
