Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our new children's home in South Gloucestershire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for establishing and registering our home, building and leading a dedicated team, and providing exceptional care and support to children with social and emotional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Manage the recruitment, supervision, and development of the team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and training to provide high-quality care and support.
- Child-Centered Care: Support children to have the best quality of life possible, working with the team to arrange and plan activities, outings, and holidays.
- Safety and Wellbeing: Ensure the children's safety and wellbeing, working with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
Requirements:
- Leadership Qualities: Patience, compassion, and resilience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to update care plans and communicate with various stakeholders.
- Driving License: A valid driving license, with the ability to transport children to appointments and activities.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexibly, including participating in the on-call rota and undertaking various tasks as required.
- Qualifications: Ideally, a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Residential Children's Care.
