Position Overview

We are in search of a dedicated and skilled full-time Senior Psychiatric Consultant to join our esteemed team at Cygnet Health Care. This role involves providing expert medical oversight and care to a group of inpatients within a specialized acute admissions unit.

The successful candidate will assume the role of Responsible Clinician, ensuring the comprehensive management and quality of care for all patients in the unit. This includes conducting regular audits of medical services to uphold the highest standards in line with professional guidelines.

Your clinical expertise will be pivotal in delivering transformative treatment, supported by a Specialty Doctor and a highly qualified multidisciplinary team comprising nurses, psychologists, and occupational therapists.

Additionally, this position offers a pathway for career advancement to Medical Director through our structured management development programs.

  • Participating in clinical audits and ward rounds.
  • Implementing risk assessments and management strategies while ensuring clinical governance.
  • Supervising documentation for mental health tribunal hearings.
  • Being part of the on-call rota.
