Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Psychiatric Consultant to lead clinical initiatives and provide psychiatric expertise within our multidisciplinary integrated community mental health team. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated team focused on delivering high-quality mental health services.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves collaborating with complex cases alongside the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure comprehensive care. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments and offering clinical consultations.
  • Supporting the MDT in delivering effective patient care.
  • Providing emergency care when necessary.
  • Engaging in consultation and liaison with general practitioners and other healthcare services.

Most activities will take place in a clinical setting, although home visits may be required on occasion.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must possess full GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register, holding an appropriate Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent. Candidates nearing completion of their CCT may also be considered. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements for those seeking part-time opportunities.
