Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Psychiatric Consultant
An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a committed Senior Psychiatric Consultant to join a prestigious private healthcare facility. This role is situated within a leading organization in the mental health sector.
This private establishment specializes in a recovery-oriented approach, addressing a diverse array of mental health challenges.
Key Qualifications:
To be eligible for this role, candidates must possess full GMC registration and be listed on the specialist register for general adult psychiatry, along with being MBBS qualified or holding an equivalent qualification.
Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include:
- Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team (MDT).
- Assuming overall accountability for patient care strategies in partnership with the MDT.
- Conducting assessments of referrals and performing mental state evaluations of clients.
- Executing necessary investigations, diagnoses, and treatments.
- Engaging in ward rounds and clinical evaluations.
- Leading the execution of risk assessments and management, while embedding clinical governance.
- Overseeing reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers' hearings, and participating in those hearings.
- Being part of the on-call rota.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Extensive knowledge and experience in adult psychiatry and mental health assessment.
- Familiarity with the Mental Health Act and its Code of Practice, as well as the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of interviewing, assessing, and treating patients while documenting clear and comprehensive medical records.
- A strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Able to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Compensation and Benefits:
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of up to £90,000 annually. This role is a permanent part-time position, requiring 24 hours of work per week. In recognition of your dedication and effort, you will enjoy a range of generous benefits, including:
