Salary: £40,000 Inclusive of Tronc

The Front of House Manager plays a vital role in enhancing the overall dining experience, ensuring that guests feel welcomed, appreciated, and well-cared for throughout their visit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests upon arrival, providing a friendly greeting and assisting with seating arrangements.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the restaurant's layout, table availability, and seating capacity.
  • Oversee reservations, including recording bookings, updating availability, and confirming reservations as necessary.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and serving staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages.
  • Monitor dining room activity to anticipate guest needs and ensure a smooth dining experience.
  • Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction.
  • Train and supervise hosting and serving staff, providing guidance on service standards, etiquette, and guest interaction.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization in the front-of-house area, including the reception area, dining room, and restrooms.
  • Work with management to develop and implement strategies for enhancing the guest experience and maximizing revenue.
  • Uphold high standards of professionalism, hospitality, and guest service at all times.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality sector, preferably in fine dining or upscale establishments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with guests, staff, and management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in reservation management software and basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures, including wine service and menu presentation.
  • A professional demeanor and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operating hours.
  • Formal training in hospitality management or a related field preferred, but not required.
