Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operational Work Area Manager to join our team at Royal Mail. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team of 20+ employees and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our busy Mail Centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of employees to achieve high levels of performance and productivity.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Monitor and analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a logistics or transportation industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
