Job Title: Operational Work Area Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operational Work Area Manager to join our team at Royal Mail Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our work area, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of 20+ employees, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Operational Performance: Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed, and that the work area is maintained in a safe and clean condition.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with colleagues, managers, and customers, both verbally and in writing.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of managing teams and improving operational performance.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Education: A degree in a relevant field, such as business or management.
