About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operational Work Area Manager to join our team at the Bristol Mail Centre. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a dedicated team of 20+ employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our manual and automated areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of employees to maximize performance and achieve operational targets
  • Develop and implement health and safety initiatives to ensure a safe working environment
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency
  • Support the Shift Manager in providing a high-quality service to our customers
  • Manage and analyze data to identify trends and develop solutions to improve performance
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a logistics or parcel distribution environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate team members
  • Target-focused with a track record of improving performance and achieving KPIs
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Experience of introducing change and successfully leading people through change
