Job Title: Operational Work Area Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operational Work Area Manager to join our team at Royal Mail Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our mail centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead a team of 20+ employees, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure they are working to high standards.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment for all employees, implementing and maintaining health and safety initiatives to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that all operational targets are met and exceeded.
  • Change Management: Lead and support employees through change, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Data Analysis: Use data to identify trends and areas for improvement, developing solutions to drive business growth and efficiency.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including employees, customers, and suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a track record of improving performance and achieving targets.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and engage employees. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Education: Degree-level qualification in a relevant field, such as business or management.
