Role Overview:

As a key member of the Resolution Team, reporting to the Resolution Team Manager, you will oversee the management of new failed firms and the resolution of customer claims. Your role will involve collaboration with various stakeholders, including Regulators, Insolvency Practitioners, Brokers, and other third parties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage regularly with relevant parties, including Insolvency Practitioners and Brokers, to manage claims effectively.
  • Monitor and assess the progress of each estate, ensuring alignment with the strategic objectives for resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with Run-off Agents to optimize processes, ensuring favorable outcomes for customers.
  • Utilize management information to oversee claims management, including new claims and ongoing claims.
  • Provide technical support and authorize valid insurance claim payments within established service level agreements.
  • Facilitate large claims management, attending meetings with stakeholders to ensure customer interests are prioritized.
  • Oversee the closure of estates, ensuring any follow-up activities are executed as planned.
  • Deliver training on claims processes to relevant parties, enhancing understanding and compliance.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven ability to manage expectations of senior stakeholders.
  • Extensive knowledge of claims handling across various product lines.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service through effective communication.
  • Expertise in FSCS, FCA, and PRA regulations and processes.
  • Strong technical knowledge of claims assessment and resolution.
  • Experience in the financial services sector.

Insurance Knowledge:

  • Awareness of operational procedures followed by insurers in claims management.
  • Understanding of Policyholder Protection Rules and their implications.
  • Knowledge of insurance contract law and its application in resolving coverage issues.
