Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Claims Adjuster to join our team at Claims Recruitment Services. As a Senior Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating and effectively handling a wide range of Casualty claims under limited technical direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of UK and International Casualty claims with limited supervision, ranging in complexity and written on both the Syndicate and Company platforms.
  • Interpret more complex or unusual policy coverages, escalating issues as needed.
  • Coordinate and perform investigations and evaluate claims through contact with insureds, brokers, business partners, and experts.
  • Partner with solicitors, customers, brokers, experts, and insureds to develop a focused strategy for timely and cost-effective resolution of more complex claims.
  • Proactively manage claims, setting early and accurate reserves in line with reserving philosophy, and authorizing payments within scope of authority.
  • Ensure large and significant claims are identified at an early stage and escalated as needed.
  • Provide guidance, assistance, and mentoring to less experienced claims colleagues.
  • Identify claims with third-party recovery/fraud potential and coordinate with relevant stakeholder functions.
  • Analyze claims activities and prepare/present reports for management. May be responsible for special projects and presentations.

Requirements

  • Significant proven claims handling experience is needed, with a focus on Casualty classes.
  • Experience in Employers' Liability, General Liability, and Products Liability is required, although development support will be provided as needed.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
