Casualty Claims Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Claims Adjuster to join our team at Claims Recruitment Services. As a key member of our Casualty Claims team, you will be responsible for investigating and effectively handling a wide range of Casualty claims under limited technical direction.
Key Responsibilities- Claims Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of UK and International Casualty claims with limited supervision, ranging in complexity and written on both the Syndicate and Company platforms.
- Policy Interpretation: Interpret more complex or unusual policy coverages, escalating issues as needed.
- Investigations and Evaluations: Coordinate and perform investigations and evaluate claims through contact with insureds, brokers, business partners and experts.
- Strategic Resolution: Partner with solicitors, customers, brokers, experts and insureds to develop a focused strategy for timely and cost-effective resolution of more complex claims.
- Claims Management: Proactively manage claims, setting early and accurate reserves in line with reserving philosophy, and authorizing payments within scope of authority.
- Large and Significant Claims: Ensure large and significant claims are identified at an early stage and escalated as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Provide guidance, assistance and mentoring to less experienced claims colleagues.
- Third-Party Recovery and Fraud: Identify claims with third-party recovery / fraud potential and coordinate with relevant stakeholder functions.
- Claims Analysis and Reporting: Analyze claims activities and prepare / present reports for management. May be responsible for special projects and presentations.
- Claims Handling Experience: Significant proven claims handling experience is needed, with a focus on Casualty classes.
- Class Experience: Experience in Employers' Liability, General Liability and Products Liability is required, although development support will be provided as needed.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
