Job Overview

We are seeking a Technical & Governance Claims Consultant to provide expert claims administration within our Technical Claims division. This role encompasses a hybrid working model, ensuring a balanced approach to office and remote work. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver proactive claims management across our diverse account portfolio, addressing complaints, appeals, and providing essential updates while maintaining precise records in our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming inquiries to the Technical & Governance team, ensuring timely action to uphold service delivery standards.
  • Conduct thorough reviews within the technical team, including the acquisition and follow-up of medical documentation to ensure consistent updates and high customer service quality.
  • Collaborate with the Technical & Governance Manager to prioritize complex case discussions, facilitating progress in intricate claims matters.
  • Support the provision of data and updates to foster effective relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, optimizing claims management processes.
  • Assist in generating Management Information for the Technical & Governance team, analyzing data to identify key trends.
  • Contribute to the execution of the T&G training plan alongside the Technical & Governance manager.
  • Ensure that a consistent, timely, and accurate service level is maintained, aligning with service agreements and customer expectations, while adhering to Legal & General's policies on customer experience and fairness.

Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Skilled in managing deadlines and achieving targets.
  • Authorized to make decisions within the limits set by the Head of Claims.
  • Capable of conducting comprehensive investigations to assess eligibility for Group Protection Claims.
  • Proficient in managing workload and prioritizing tasks effectively.
