Position Overview

You will take charge of your designated area, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service standards while maintaining cleanliness and operational efficiency. Your role is pivotal in driving sales and profitability through effective upselling techniques and outstanding guest care. Cultivating a motivated team environment is essential to keep our guests returning to German Doner Kebab.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations at a German Doner Kebab establishment.
  • Guarantee that guest service aligns with company standards, fostering high customer satisfaction.
  • Address guest complaints promptly and implement solutions.
  • Ensure the highest quality of food products is consistently served.
  • Organize and oversee team responsibilities to enhance both colleague and guest satisfaction.
  • Train and guide team members through structured training programs to ensure exceptional guest service.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback to maintain motivation and productivity.
  • Oversee stock inventory and analyze consumption patterns.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.
  • Promote and enhance the GDK brand.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture and lead by example.
  • Monitor operations and implement corrective measures as necessary.
  • Act as duty manager on a rotational basis.
  • Conduct pre- and post-shift meetings to communicate targets and share relevant information.
  • Take responsibility for the front-of-house business performance.
  • Ensure adherence to GDK operational guidelines.
  • Identify root causes of guest complaints and take corrective action.
  • Ensure all team members comply with uniform standards.
  • Welcome guests and manage table reservations.
  • Supervise dining and counter staff shifts.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and safety.
  • Prepare cash drawers and manage petty cash as needed.
  • Assist in various roles as required by operational demands.
  • Encourage teamwork, cooperation, and a positive attitude among staff.
  • Complete daily reports at the end of each shift.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager based on business needs.
  • Collaborate with the General Store Manager to oversee all operational aspects.
  • Maintain organized and clean stock storage areas.
  • Work with the General Store Manager and team to achieve tight stock control and budgeted margins.
  • Complete daily paperwork accurately.
  • Engage with customers to model exceptional guest care.
  • Uphold high standards of guest service.
  • Support team members during peak times and fulfill any operational duties as necessary.
  • Ensure the GDK team is well-groomed and presentable.
  • Adhere to all legal responsibilities and requirements associated with the business.
  • Possess a solid understanding of equipment and perform preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate for the position of Shift Leader should possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate enthusiasm for teamwork. The following attributes are highly desirable:

  • Proven experience as a Supervisor or Duty Manager in the food industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in guest service management.
  • Extensive knowledge of guest care practices.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and computer literacy.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • Financial management capabilities.
