Position Overview

You will take the helm of your designated area, ensuring that service standards are upheld and that the environment remains clean and welcoming. Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Manage the daily operations of a German Doner Kebab restaurant, ensuring adherence to service standards.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Guarantee that guest service aligns with company expectations and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Complaint Resolution: Address guest complaints promptly and implement solutions to enhance their experience.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that only the highest quality products are served to our guests.
  • Team Management: Organize and oversee team responsibilities to ensure satisfaction for both staff and guests.
  • Training and Development: Provide structured training and guidance to team members to promote outstanding guest service.
  • Performance Evaluation: Assess team performance and provide constructive feedback to motivate and enhance productivity.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain stock levels and analyze usage to optimize resources.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Monitor adherence to food safety and health regulations.
  • Brand Promotion: Actively promote the GDK brand within the community.
  • Positive Work Environment: Cultivate a supportive and professional workplace culture.
  • Operational Monitoring: Oversee operations and implement corrective measures as necessary.
  • Shift Management: Assume the role of duty manager on a rotational basis.
  • Team Briefings: Conduct pre- and post-shift meetings to communicate targets and share feedback.
  • Business Performance: Take responsibility for the front-of-house performance of the restaurant.
  • Adherence to Guidelines: Ensure operations comply with GDK protocols.
  • Uniform Standards: Ensure all staff adhere to company uniform policies.
  • Guest Interaction: Welcome guests and manage reservations effectively.
  • Staff Supervision: Organize and oversee the shifts of dining and counter staff.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of hygiene and health safety.
  • Financial Management: Prepare cash drawers and manage petty cash as needed.
  • Team Support: Assist in various roles as required during peak times.
  • Reporting: Complete necessary daily reports at the end of each shift.
  • Training Participation: Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the General Store Manager to coordinate operations.
  • Stock Monitoring: Ensure stock storage areas are organized and clean.
  • Team Grooming: Ensure the team is well-groomed and ready for service.
  • Legal Compliance: Promote and adhere to all legal responsibilities associated with the business.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Maintain a good understanding of all equipment and ensure preventative maintenance is performed.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Shift Leader position should possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate a strong enthusiasm for teamwork. The following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Proven experience as a Supervisor or Duty Manager in the Food Industry.
  • Experience in managing guest services.
  • Extensive knowledge of guest care principles.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and computer literacy.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • Financial management capabilities.
