Position Overview

The Children and Young People's Division is seeking to appoint a dedicated and proactive Patient Services Receptionist on a permanent basis.

We are looking for a vibrant individual who thrives in a dynamic, supportive, and multi-disciplinary team setting, contributing to the provision of exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

You will collaborate effectively to deliver comprehensive administrative support to our Paediatric & Adolescent department at University College London Hospital.

This role encompasses a full-time commitment of 37.5 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding customer service and communication abilities, along with a strong sense of empathy, discretion, and integrity.

Essential duties include:

  • Managing patient check-ins for outpatient appointments across all paediatric and adolescent services.
  • Coordinating follow-up outpatient appointments.
  • Offering patients the opportunity to enroll in the MyCare system.
  • Conducting appointment reminder calls for patients.
  • Completing end-of-day administrative processes.
  • Verifying eRs referrals (GP requests).
  • Scheduling rooms for clinical teams using the Condeco system.
  • Updating Epic reports and managing work queues.
  • Participating in theatre and admission meetings.
  • Providing support to the Service Manager and supervisor as needed.
  • Assisting with ward coverage as required.
