Position Overview
We are seeking to enhance our reception team with a dedicated individual who possesses prior experience in a public-facing receptionist role. The ideal candidate will exhibit a calm demeanor, a cheerful attitude, and a polite approach, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while being a collaborative team member. Experience in a healthcare environment, particularly within a general practice, is preferred. This is a full-time role requiring 37 hours of commitment each week.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this position include:
- Welcoming patients warmly and assisting them in accessing the appropriate services or healthcare professionals.
- Managing appointment scheduling for medical consultations and ensuring timely operations of clinics.
- Handling incoming calls with professionalism and addressing patient inquiries regarding practice policies.
- Maintaining patient records, including filing, retrieving, and updating information accurately.
- Processing new patient registrations and explaining practice policies clearly.
- Addressing patient complaints and ensuring they are resolved effectively.
- Scanning and entering correspondence into the electronic medical records system.
- Coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Upholding confidentiality and adhering to data protection protocols at all times.
