Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Fire Safety Project Coordinator to become a vital part of our growing team at Fire Design Solutions. The successful candidate will oversee the comprehensive delivery of Smoke Ventilation and Fire Alarm Systems, ensuring all projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage and execute projects according to specified requirements, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.
  2. Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients to facilitate project success and encourage future collaborations.
  3. Oversee all technical elements of projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and current regulations, particularly concerning Health & Safety and Public Safety. Prepare necessary method statements and Risk Assessments for each project.
  4. Conduct thorough inspections of installation work, ensuring quality and performance standards are met by both FDS operatives and subcontractors.
  5. Safeguard FDS's interests by managing contractual and commercial relationships with clients and suppliers effectively.
  6. Handle all financial aspects related to assigned projects, including procurement, invoicing, and assisting with debt recovery as necessary.
  7. Adhere to established processes as outlined in the FDS quality manual, providing accurate status reports on all designated projects through the contract reporting system.
  8. Perform a comprehensive review post-commissioning to verify compliance with specifications and design criteria, signing off accordingly.
  9. Ensure all Operations & Maintenance (O&M) documentation and certifications for installed life safety systems are prepared accurately and distributed promptly.
  10. Represent the company’s interests professionally at all times.
  11. Possess experience in the Fire Industry, with a preference for familiarity with Smoke Venting installations.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Must possess a valid UK driving license.
