Fire Safety Project Coordinator

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Fire Safety Project Coordinator to enhance our growing team. The successful candidate will oversee the comprehensive delivery of Smoke Ventilation and Fire Alarm Systems. A solid background in the fire safety industry is essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and execute projects according to specifications, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.

2. Foster strong working relationships with clients to facilitate project success and encourage future collaborations.

3. Oversee all technical elements of the project, ensuring compliance with specifications and relevant legislation, particularly concerning Health & Safety regulations. Prepare necessary method statements and Risk Assessments for each project.

4. Conduct inspections and manage installation details to guarantee quality and performance from both FDS operatives and subcontractors.

5. Represent FDS interests effectively, safeguarding all contractual and commercial relationships with clients and suppliers.

6. Handle all financial aspects related to assigned projects, including procurement, invoicing, and assisting with debt recovery as needed.

7. Adhere to established processes as outlined in the FDS quality manual, providing accurate project status updates through the contract reporting system.

8. Perform a final review post-commissioning to ensure adherence to specifications and design requirements, signing off as necessary.

9. Ensure all Operations & Maintenance information and certifications for installed life safety systems are prepared accurately and distributed promptly.

10. Consistently represent the company's interests with professionalism.

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the fire safety sector.
  • A collaborative team player dedicated to exceeding client and colleague expectations.
  • Self-driven with a proactive approach to work.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Must possess a valid UK driving license.
