The successful candidate will oversee the comprehensive delivery of Smoke Ventilation and Fire Alarm Systems, ensuring all projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee and execute projects according to specified requirements, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
  2. Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate project success and encourage future collaborations.
  3. Manage all technical elements of the project, ensuring compliance with specifications and relevant legislation, particularly regarding Health & Safety and Public Safety, while preparing necessary method statements and Risk Assessments.
  4. Conduct thorough inspections of installation work to guarantee quality and performance standards are met by both FDS operatives and subcontractors.
  5. Act in the best interests of Fire Design Solutions, safeguarding all contractual and commercial relationships with clients and suppliers.
  6. Handle all financial aspects related to assigned projects, including procurement, invoicing, and assisting with debt recovery as needed.
  7. Adhere to established processes as outlined in the FDS quality manual, providing accurate project status updates through the contract reporting system.
  8. Perform a comprehensive review after commissioning to ensure all specifications and design constraints are met, providing sign-off as required.
  9. Ensure all Operations & Maintenance documentation and certifications for installed life safety systems are prepared accurately and distributed promptly.
  10. Represent the company’s interests at all times.
  11. Prior experience in the Fire Industry is essential, with a preference for candidates familiar with Smoke Venting installations.

  • Proven experience in a similar role or relevant field.
  • A collaborative team player dedicated to exceeding client and colleague expectations.
  • Self-driven with a proactive approach to work.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Possession of a valid UK driving license.
