As a Registered Manager in this well-rated residential home, your responsibilities will include:


Creating Individual Care Plans: Develop personalized plans for each child that address their diverse needs.


Building a Strong Team: Collaborate with recruitment to attract the right talent and ensure a cohesive team environment.


Engaging with Young People: Establish systems for young individuals to provide feedback on their care.


Assigning Key Workers: Designate a Key Worker for each child to oversee their care plan implementation.


Upholding Care Standards: Ensure compliance with national standards and the home's objectives.


Addressing Concerns: Manage any complaints or safeguarding issues effectively.


Collaborating with Stakeholders: Partner with families and professionals to enhance the wellbeing of children.


Participating in Meetings: Engage in planning and review meetings relevant to childcare.


Promoting a Safe Environment: Ensure the highest standards of care for children in your facility.

Essential Qualifications and Experience


• Relevant Experience: Minimum of 2 years in residential child care, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity within the last 5 years.


• Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or a commitment to obtain within 6 months of starting.


• Knowledge: Familiarity with Quality Standards, childcare legislation, and regulatory frameworks.


• Skills: Proficient in planning, organization, budget management, resource allocation, and team leadership.


• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.


• Understanding of Trauma: Awareness of the needs of children facing emotional and behavioral challenges.


• Driving License: Full UK driving license required.
