As a Registered Manager of a well-rated residential home, your responsibilities will include:


Creating Individual Care Plans: Develop personalized plans that cater to each young person's educational, social, emotional, and health needs.


Building a Strong Team: Collaborate with recruitment to attract the right talent for your home, ensuring a consistent and supportive environment for the young people.


Engaging Young People: Establish systems to involve young individuals in discussions about their care.


Assigning Key Workers: Designate a Key Worker for each young person to implement their care plan effectively.


Upholding Quality Standards: Monitor and maintain high-quality care in accordance with national standards and the home's objectives.


Addressing Concerns: Take charge of resolving any complaints or safeguarding issues.


Collaborating with Stakeholders: Work alongside parents, guardians, and professionals to enhance the welfare of young individuals.


Participating in Meetings: Engage in care planning and review meetings as necessary.


Promoting a Safe Environment: Ensure that the children in your care receive the highest standard of support.

Essential Qualifications and Experience


• Relevant Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a child residential care role, including at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity within the last 5 years.


• Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or a commitment to obtain within 6 months of starting.


• Knowledge: Familiarity with quality standards, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.


• Skills: Proficient in planning, organization, budget management, resource allocation, and team leadership.


• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Understanding of Trauma: Awareness of the needs of children facing behavioral, emotional, and social challenges.


• Driving License: Full UK driving license required.
