Position Overview:

The Crown Estate is seeking a skilled Compensation and Benefits Manager to lead the development and management of our reward and pension frameworks.

This pivotal role is tasked with ensuring that our compensation and benefits offerings are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our organizational goals while adhering to all applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Executive Compensation:

  • Assist in preparing documentation for the Remuneration Committee.
  • Stay informed on market trends related to executive compensation.

Pension Oversight:

  • Manage the administration of pension schemes.
  • Ensure compliance with pension-related laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with pension providers and advisors for effective plan management.

Reward Strategy Development:

  • Contribute to the creation and execution of reward strategies that align with our long-term vision.
  • Conduct regular market assessments to maintain competitive and fair reward offerings.
  • Design and oversee incentive programs, including bonuses and commissions.

Compensation Administration:

  • Lead the annual review process for salaries and bonuses in partnership with the HR Business Partner team.
  • Establish and maintain job evaluation systems to support job architecture.
  • Provide expertise on salary benchmarking and compensation structures.

Benefits Management:

  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits such as health and life insurance.
  • Ensure that benefits packages are competitive and meet employee needs.

Employee Engagement:

  • Develop communication strategies to help employees understand their compensation and benefits.
  • Offer guidance to People & Culture and line managers on compensation and benefits issues.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and present reports on compensation and benefits as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Professional certification in HR or compensation management is preferred.
  • Experience in developing and implementing compensation strategies.
  • Knowledge of pension regulations and experience with defined benefit and defined contribution schemes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners.
