Position Overview:

The Crown Estate is seeking a skilled Compensation and Benefits Manager to lead the development and administration of our reward and pension programs.

This pivotal role is focused on crafting, executing, and overseeing the organization’s compensation and benefits strategies, ensuring alignment with our overarching business goals. The manager will guarantee that our reward offerings are competitive, equitable, and compliant with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Executive Compensation:

  • Assist the Head of Compensation in preparing materials for the Remuneration Committee.
  • Stay informed on trends in executive compensation within the industry.

Pension Oversight:

  • Manage the administration of the organization's pension plans.
  • Ensure adherence to pension-related regulations and legislation.
  • Collaborate with pension providers and consultants to effectively manage pension offerings.

Reward Strategy Development:

  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of reward strategies that align with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Conduct regular market assessments to maintain competitive and fair reward packages.
  • Design and oversee incentive programs, including bonuses and commission structures.

Compensation Administration:

  • Lead the annual salary and bonus review process, partnering with HR Business Partners to ensure a streamlined approach.
  • Establish and maintain job evaluation and leveling frameworks to support job architecture.
  • Provide insights on salary benchmarking and compensation structures.

Benefits Management:

  • Oversee the management of employee benefits, including health and life insurance.
  • Ensure that benefits offerings are competitive and meet employee needs.

Employee Engagement:

  • Develop and implement strategies to communicate reward and pension offerings effectively to employees.
  • Offer guidance and support to People & Culture and line managers regarding reward and pension issues.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and present reports on compensation and benefits matters as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Professional certification in HR or compensation management is preferred.
  • Experience in formulating and executing compensation strategies.
  • Familiarity with pension regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
  • Collaborative approach to working with colleagues, trustees, and external partners.
