Compensation and Benefits Manager

The Opportunity
Sephora is seeking a Compensation and Benefits Manager to join our HR team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our compensation and benefits offerings are competitive, fair, and reflective of our commitment to placing people at the heart of everything we do.
In this role, you will lead key initiatives across compensation, benefits, and HR governance, playing an active role in both ideation and implementation. You will develop and execute compensation strategies, ensuring that our pay structures are competitive and equitable. Your work will involve conducting in-depth market analyses, managing job architecture and position evaluations, and overseeing the annual compensation review process.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute compensation strategies that attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
- Conduct market analyses to ensure competitive pay structures and equitable practices.
- Manage job architecture and position evaluations, ensuring transparency and fairness in compensation proposals.
- Lead the annual individual compensation review process, including salary reviews, bonuses, and commission schemes.
- Oversee HR controlling and analytics, monitoring key HR metrics, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with local compensation regulations and Sephora's global policies.
- Manage payroll compensation changes and ensure accuracy throughout the year, in collaboration with the Payroll Specialist.
What You'll Bring
In this role, you will be at the forefront of shaping Sephora's compensation, benefits, and HR governance strategies. With a strong background in Compensation & Benefits or HR Controlling, you will be well-equipped to navigate complex data and drive strategic decisions.
You will have a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of compensation practices, market trends, and regulatory requirements. Your ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights will set you apart, while your commitment to maintaining the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality will ensure that our employees feel valued and supported.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Compensation & Benefits or HR Controlling, ideally in the retail, hospitality, or service industry.
- Deep expertise in compensation practices, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify and convey complex information.
- A proven track record of collaborating effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Expertise in HR processes and data management with exceptional attention to detail.
