The Opportunity

Sephora is seeking a Compensation and Benefits Manager to join our HR team. Reporting to the HR Director, you will ensure that our compensation and benefits offerings are competitive, fair, and reflective of our commitment to placing people at the heart of everything we do. You will elevate our employee experience by implementing best-in-class HR systems and governance policies.

In this role, you'll lead key initiatives across compensation, benefits, and HR governance, playing an active role in both ideation and implementation. You'll lead the development and execution of compensation strategies, ensuring that our pay structures are competitive and equitable. Your work will involve conducting in-depth market analyses, managing job architecture and position evaluations, and overseeing the annual compensation review process. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in HR controlling and analytics, monitoring key metrics, and driving process improvements.

  • Developing and executing compensation strategies that attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
  • Conducting market analyses to ensure competitive pay structures and equitable practices.
  • Managing job architecture and position evaluations, ensuring transparency and fairness in compensation proposals.
  • Leading the annual individual compensation review process, including salary reviews, bonuses, and commission schemes.
  • Overseeing HR controlling and analytics, monitoring key HR metrics, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensuring compliance with local compensation regulations and Sephora's global policies.
  • Managing payroll compensation changes and ensuring accuracy throughout the year, in collaboration with the Payroll Specialist.
What You'll Bring

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of shaping Sephora's compensation, benefits, and HR governance strategies. With a strong background in Compensation & Benefits or HR Controlling, you'll be well-equipped to navigate complex data and drive strategic decisions.

You'll have a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of compensation practices, market trends, and regulatory requirements. Your ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights will set you apart, while your commitment to maintaining the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality will ensure that our employees feel valued and supported. In a fast-paced, dynamic environment, your collaborative spirit and methodical approach will help drive our HR initiatives forward.

  • Strong experience in Compensation & Benefits or HR Controlling, ideally in the retail, hospitality, or service industry.
  • Deep expertise in compensation practices, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Expertise in HR processes and data management with exceptional attention to detail.
