About the Role

Job Summary

The Digital Merchandiser will play a crucial role in developing and executing the digital merchandising strategy for Burberry Limited, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business objectives and creative vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Buying and Merchandising
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive buying strategy for the digital channel, in collaboration with regional merchandising teams and central product merchandising.
    • Work closely with regional merchandising and planning teams to ensure that digital has the right products and inventory at the right time, driving new trading ideas in response to changing trends.
    • Support localization efforts by working closely with sub-regional teams to develop dynamic merchandising strategies.
    • Implement new product roll-out strategies to support key corporate product initiatives, partnering with styling teams and other key stakeholders.
  • Site Merchandising and Operations
    • Lead site merchandising preparation for monthly delivery launches, ensuring that site merchandising strategies are well-represented in the best commercial way.
    • Curate visual merchandising pages that balance art and commerce, ensuring consistent and optimized visual journeys through to product.
    • Work closely with digital marketing teams to ensure product and links are integrated into email campaigns, connecting with SEO and wider digital marketing teams, including UX.
    • Collaborate with digital operations and customer operations to ensure key styles are content-ready in time for launch, delivering strong monthly messaging and sales results.
    • Lead teams to ensure operational excellence across various e-commerce tools and platforms.
    • Work closely with content teams to ensure smooth publishing processes across the site.
    • Leverage in-house reporting systems to identify areas of opportunity to further grow the digital business, analyzing trade weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly, and reporting on dynamic merchandising activities to maximize sales and sell-through, as well as engagement.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related area.
  • Previous managerial experience, with a proven track record of effective delegation, prioritization of work, and successful mentorship and retention.
  • Knowledge of various CMS and PIM tools.
  • Accuracy, great attention to detail.
  • Analytical, good numerical skills.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
