Senior Speech and Language Therapist for Acute Care and Stroke Rehabilitation

Overview of the Position
This role is integral to providing a comprehensive range of services for in-patients and out-patients in the field of Speech and Language Therapy.
The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated team focused on delivering high-quality care to patients with acute needs, particularly those recovering from strokes.
Main Responsibilities
The appointee will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective communication and rehabilitation strategies for patients. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and developing tailored treatment plans for patients.
- Providing therapeutic interventions to enhance communication abilities and swallowing functions.
- Engaging in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Contributing to the training and development of junior staff and students in the field.
- Participating in clinical audits and research initiatives to improve service delivery.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Recognized qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
