Overview of the Position
This role is integral to providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services within the realm of speech and language therapy, particularly focusing on acute care and stroke rehabilitation.
The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of professionals committed to delivering high-quality therapeutic interventions to patients across various settings.
Main Responsibilities
The appointee will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective assessment and treatment of patients requiring speech and language therapy. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' communication and swallowing abilities.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Providing ongoing support and education to patients and their families regarding communication strategies and rehabilitation techniques.
- Engaging in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Participating in clinical audits and contributing to service development initiatives.
