Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our esteemed team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist in ENT and Voice, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, managing, and providing therapy for patients with swallow and communication disorders.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for patients with voice and swallowing disorders.
- Participate in and lead videofluoroscopy examinations, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment.
- Develop and maintain expertise in Speech and Voice Rehabilitation (SVR), staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices.
- Supervise, mentor, and coach junior staff members, including students and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and skill development.
- Contribute to clinical governance activities, such as audits, to maintain high standards of patient care and service delivery.
- Engage actively in service developments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.

Person Specification
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
- Appropriate knowledge, skills, and experience in Speech and Language Therapy, particularly in ENT and Voice.
- Evidence of having undertaken personal development to improve understanding of equalities issues and championing diversity in previous roles.
