Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our well-established and respected department, specializing in voice disorders and head and neck cancer. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills in these areas and contribute to the delivery of high-quality clinical services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, treat, manage, and provide therapy for swallow and communication disorders in ENT clinical specialisms.
  • Conduct Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) and participate in/lead videofluoroscopy examinations.
  • Develop skills in Stroboscopy and Voice Rehabilitation (SVR).
  • Supervise, mentor, and coach others, including students and healthcare professionals.
  • Teach and train staff.
  • Participate in clinical governance activities, such as audit.
  • Contribute to service developments and improvements.

Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
    • Appropriate knowledge, skills, and experience in voice disorders and head and neck cancer.
    • Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues.
    • Evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles (as appropriate to role).
