We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have established skills in voice disorders and head and neck cancer, and will be looking to further develop in these areas.
Main Responsibilities- Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management and therapy of swallow and communication disorders in the clinical specialisms.
- Conducting FEES (Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) examinations.
- Participation in/leading videofluoroscopy examinations.
- Developing skills in SVR (Stroboscopy and Videostroboscopy) and other advanced assessment techniques.
- Supervision, mentoring and coaching of other Speech and Language Therapists, students and healthcare professionals.
- Teaching and training of Speech and Language Therapists and other healthcare professionals.
- Involvement in clinical governance activities, such as audit and quality improvement initiatives.
- Active participation in service developments and innovation.
