We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Frailty Therapy team at the Royal Sussex County Hospital. As a Clinical Specialist Frailty Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to patients with complex physical, cognitive, social, or perceptual deficits.
Key Responsibilities- Provide occupational therapy support within the Frailty Therapy team, working within an integrated therapy model with physiotherapists.
- Conduct specialist assessments and interventions to individuals with a range of physical, cognitive, social, or perceptual deficits.
- Develop and implement rehabilitation plans to maintain and improve function, facilitating timely discharges and promoting a "Home First" approach.
- Participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of occupational therapy services within the wider occupational therapy team and the Frailty Therapy specialist team.
- Professional qualification in occupational therapy.
- HCPC registration.
- Varied post-graduate experience in a range of settings, including medical, surgical, older person's rehabilitation, or a closely related field.
- Knowledge of an integrated therapy model and experience in the assessment and formulation of treatment plans for patients with complex needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
