About This Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated nurse to join our senior clinical leadership team as the Deputy Divisional Head of Nursing for Surgery and Cancer. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the delivery of high-quality patient care within our division.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Divisional Head of Nursing, Divisional Director, and Associate Medical Directors to implement and deliver the Clinical Service Strategy across the Division.
  • Provide leadership and direction to Matrons and Senior Nurses, ensuring the delivery of the Nursing agenda within the division.
  • Maintain high standards of nursing quality by establishing systems for continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels of nurses and Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Provide expert advice on all nursing matters to the Division, contributing to effective resource utilization and increased productivity.
  • Deliver agreed corporate schemes and prepare reports and presentations for formal groups and boards.

You will possess a proven track record of senior leadership experience in an acute setting. Your strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills will enable you to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team of over 1200 staff members.
