Key Responsibilities
As the nursing lead for the service, you will play a pivotal role in managing and guiding the critical care team to ensure operational efficiency and safety, while fostering a compassionate and supportive team environment that prioritizes wellbeing and a safe workplace culture.
You will:
- Promote innovative practices and advocate for high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Oversee quality improvement initiatives, budget management, change processes, and resource allocation within the department.
- Lead by example, demonstrating high motivation and empowering your team.
- Utilize advanced clinical skills in assessment and treatment, collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to meet patient needs, particularly regarding ongoing care and discharge planning.
- Provide guidance and support to patients, caregivers, and families by being approachable and accessible, serving as the primary contact for information and concerns, and liaising with other staff, clinical teams, and external agencies as necessary.
