Head of Sponsorship and Partnerships: Financial Services

Job Summary:

Carter Murray is seeking an experienced Head of Sponsorship and Partnerships to join our team. This role will be responsible for building and leading all sponsorship activity for events & campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sponsorship strategy plan for the next 2-3 years, in collaboration with the Marketing Director.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the Events team, to set sponsorship targets and budgets.
  • Work closely with the existing Head of Sponsorships to ensure a smooth handover and transition of responsibilities.
  • Provide regular reporting on sponsorship forecasts and activity to the Executive team and stakeholders.
  • Manage the final stages of an upcoming event, including activities and analysis.
  • Oversee all sponsorship activity for an event in 2025.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sponsorship or fundraising in the B2B space, with expertise in both virtual and face-to-face environments.
  • Previous experience in developing a sponsorship strategy, with a focus on business development.
  • Excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to navigate complex international environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with experience in project management tools such as Salesforce, Asana, or similar.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in the financial services industry or a related field.
  • Language skills, other than English, are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of online event platforms and digital event technologies.
