Role Summary:

As the Data Security & Protection Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the completion, submission, and audit of the Data Security & Protection Toolkit. This position offers an excellent opportunity for personal growth and the development of your leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, monitoring, and submission of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Information Sharing Agreements (ISAs).
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory Data Security and Protection standards.
  • Manage Trust risk and incident response related to Data Security & Protection, promoting awareness and learning from incidents.
  • Support the Trust's Data Security & Protection team, including training for Information Asset Owners (IAOs) and Administrators.
  • Oversee the Trust Information Asset Register and Record of Processing Activities (RoPA).

Qualifications and Skills:

Essential:

  • Degree level education or equivalent experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in data protection legislation and compliance.
  • Ability to lead training sessions and engage with various stakeholders.

Desirable:

  • Data Protection Practitioners Certificate.
  • Experience in a management or senior role.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security practices.
