Position Overview

The successful candidate will:

Deliver, uphold, and enhance a superior level of administrative and secretarial assistance that reflects the professionalism of the Memory Assessment Service. Offer a thorough secretarial service to the team, which includes typing and word processing of letters, memos, minutes, reports, and other routine communications. Operate independently as well as collaboratively within the broader Administrative Team, demonstrating a readiness to assist colleagues and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the provision of a comprehensive, high-quality secretarial and administrative service to Psychiatrists, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and the Memory Assessment Service (MAS) Team. Coordinate appointments and manage room bookings across various settings. Register new referrals in the electronic patient record system. Provide a detailed, high-quality secretarial and administrative service to the clinical team, which includes medical and general audio typing, preparing correspondence, and verifying the accuracy of information before submission to the relevant clinician for electronic signing. Manage and prioritize personal workload effectively to meet strict deadlines, demonstrating flexibility within the scope of the role.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential Qualifications

GCSE in English Language or equivalent. RSA III Typewriting/Word Processing or equivalent skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
