Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a vast network of over 600 suppliers/carriers, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
  • Coordinate end-to-end booking, pricing, and quotations for manufactured shipments, primarily via ocean freight.
  • Lead a small team of 4 Ocean Freight Experts, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and quality control.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs clearance and administrative procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers/carriers to improve costing and service quality.
  • Monitor and report on financial, quality, and safety targets to ensure adherence to company standards.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in ocean freight, with a strong background in customs compliance and multi-modal freight.
  • Proven experience in managing or coordinating teams, with a focus on freight forwarding and logistics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to command respect and build strong relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
